Original Thought

Listen, I’m not a hater on competitions or foreign television. I have witnesses who will attest to my love of Ninja Warrior and MXC. But there’s something about the now casting American version of Japan’s Human Tetris that kind of horrifies me. Lousy sequels, 80s remakes, TV wheels o’cliche’…these are all signals that there’s an end to original American thought and idea when we were very recently the world’s greatest importer of intellectual property. That’s just sad to me.

As the wise Liz Lemon once said, “If reality TV has taught us anything, it’s that you can’t keep people with no shame down.”

No truer words spoken.
